What is SecondVoice?SecondVoice is the first Line Two service in the wireless industry that works with any phone. What does that mean? It means that any person with a cell phone can add a second phone number and voicemail box- a Second Voice- to their cell phone. In addition to bringing a second phone number and voicemail box to a cell phone, SecondVoice offers a host of other features that will change the way people communicate.
How much does it cost?SecondVoice offers two payment options, month-to-month and a yearly agreement. With the month-to-month plan, it costs $13.95 per month. For the yearly agreement, it is only $10.95 per month.
Is there an agreement to sign?If the month-to-month option is chosen, there is no agreement. If the yearly option is chosen, there is an agreement.
Can I use an existing number as my SecondVoice?Yes. Many people move their home phone number or their home-based business phone to SecondVoice. Also, many people carry two cell phones and choose to move one of the numbers to SecondVoice for convenience and to save money.
Does it use my cell phone's minutes?Yes. Whenever a call is made on the cell phone, it will use up the inventory of minutes on the cell phone plan.
Do I get a separate bill from my cell phone bill?Yes. SecondVoice will not send a bill via mail, but will automatically charge the credit card on the account in the amount of the set monthly fee at the start of every month.
Can I get a number in any area code?No. SecondVoice has numbers from most area codes in the contiguous 48 states. We do not provide Hawaiian or Alaskan phone numbers. Also, people who have Alaskan or Hawaiian phone numbers cannot move those numbers to SecondVoice.
How will I know if a call is to my cell number or my SecondVoice number?When a SecondVoice call is received, you will see the caller ID of the caller. Once you answer the phone, a recorded message will prompt you to press 1 to answer the SecondVoice call or press 2 to send the call to SecondVoiceMail. If you answer the phone and do not hear this prompt, then the caller was calling your regular cell phone number.
Will messages be left in my regular voicemail box?No. The SecondVoiceMail will always pick up the SecondVoice calls not answered.
Can I set-up a separate voicemail greeting?Yes. By accessing the SecondVoiceMail and choosing "Configure voicemail greeting" personalized greeting can be recorded.
How will I know if someone left me a SecondVoiceMail?There are two ways to know if a SecondVoiceMail message is waiting. The first is by calling your SecondVoice number to access your SecondVoiceMail system. The second way is via email if the user has chosen to forward voicemail greetings to any email addresses.

A SecondVoice authorized dealer can be called, usually the dealer that activated the SecondVoice account, or the SecondVoice Customer Care team at 888-819-2919 between the hours of 8am to 5pm PST.
Can I have more than one SecondVoice number?Not at present. Future versions of SecondVoice will allow customers to have more SecondVoice numbers.
Is there a free trial period?Yes. A 10-day Free Trial period comes with all accounts. During the Free Trial period, the customer can cancel an account at any time without being charged.
Can I refer my friends?Yes. Customers can refer friends through their private account on the SecondVoice website. Every time a friend signs up, SecondVoice will reduce the following month's bill for the referring customer.
Can I make call with my SecondVoice?Yes. By calling the SecondVoiceMail and choosing Option 2 from the main menu the customer can make a call with their SecondVoice phone number as the Caller ID.
Is there a voicemail?Yes. Every SecondVoice account comes with a SecondVoiceMail, a separate voicemail box dedicated to SecondVoice calls.
Can I move my home or my second cell phone number to SecondVoice?Yes. Many people choose to move a home phone number, a home-based business phone number, or even a second cell phone number to SecondVoice.
Is there a charge to move one of my existing phone numbers to SecondVoice?Yes. There is a one-time fee of $25 to move a number to SecondVoice.
Is this a service from my carrier?No. SecondVoice is carrier independent.
Can I dial international through SecondVoice?At this time customers can only call within the U.S. and Canada but we will be implementing upgrades to be able to call other countries for low rates. By calling into the SecondVoiceMail and choosing Option 2, a call can be dialed out to any phone number in the U.S. or Canada (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).
Is there a cancellation fee?Yes and No. There is no cancellation fee on a month-to-month account. A $95 cancellation fee does apply if a 1 year subscription is canceled before the 1 year is up.
How do I cancel my subscription?A subscription can be canceled by calling SecondVoice customer service.
